Builders at all skill levels whose favorite building material is LEGO® blocks are invited to a LEGO Build Night Friday, June 6, in anticipation of the Yellow Brick Challenge.
The Build Night will be held at Greene Bean Coffee from 5 to 8 pm. Builders can bring their own LEGOs or use blocks from the mega collection of Green Bean Coffee owner Reagan Osborne. “We want to be sure everyone has a chance to be part of the fun of the Yellow Brick Challenge, whether or not they own LEGOs,” Osborne said. “We had a Build Night a while back and a lot of people had a lot of fun. We’re hoping for the same thing this time.”
The Yellow Brick Challenge is hosted by Greene Bean Coffee and co-sponsored by GreeneCountyNewsOnline. LEGO creations must have at least one yellow brick visible and must somehow relate to the Bell Tower Festival theme, Iowa’s Emerald County: There’s no place like home.
“We’re waiting to see is someone builds a yellow brick road to the Emerald County, but until then, we hope kids and adults of all ages will do some building of their own,” said GreeneCountyNewsOnline publisher Tori Riley. “I’m excited to see what people come up with.”
Prizes will be offered in three age categories and a multi-age family category. Complete rules are available by clicking on the ad/link on GreeneCountyNewsOnline.
